Name:Tien ShinhonAlias:Mr. Tien, Ten Shinhan Ten, 3-eyes, Ten-San
Race: Human. Descendent of the Three eyes tribe
Age:34 appoximate
Gender: Male
Alignment: Good
Appearance:
Personality: Tien used to be ruthless and cold toward those that were not his fellow students and mentors. Dispite this he would find a lifelong friend named Chiaotzu, who he deeply cares about. He used to idolize Mercanary Tao, and wanted to be like him and become a mercanary. Before he changed his ways he planned to kill Goku in the World Martial Arts Tournament. He would begin to disagree with Shen and Tao's methods and go off to train on his own. Occasionally he tries to repent for his formal brutality but now he discards those memories and looks to the future.
His eagerness to surpass Goku one day has made him a powerful warrior, and was able to defeat a Saibaman as well as hold off against Nappa for a while. When revived by Parunga he still works to help protect all that he holds dear.
History:
Tien's first encounter with Goku was when he was scamming villages by pretending to kill a beast named InoShikaCho. Villages would pay him for this, and Tien and Chiaotzu would move on to the next village to do the same thing. Goku realized that this was all fake, but the villagers thought different and chased him from the village.
Goku's next encounter would be at the World Tournament where he and Chiaotzu fixed the tournament standings, allowing Tien to fight Yamcha first. Yamcha proved to be a challenge but was no significant threat as Tien defeated him and then broke his leg while he was unconcious.
Tien's next fight would be against Roshi himself, who warned him about following an evil path. During the match Tien uses the Kamehameha Wave he learned in the match with Yamcha against Roshi. After this, Roshi gives up and hops out of the ring. Tien tracks him down afterward and asks him why he gave up. Roshi stated it was time for the younger fighters to take his place.
The last fight the the tournament would be against Goku himself. During most of the battle they seemed to be evenly matched until Chiaotzu intervines by paralyzing Goku. Tien, influenced by Roshi, wanted a fair match, and demanded his friend to stop. Shen, their master instead order Tien to kill Goku, but Tien refused. Now angry, the master ordered Chiaotzu to kill them both, but he refuses as well even when threatened with death by Shen himself. Before Shen could kill Chiaotzu, he is blown away by a Kamehameha wave so they could finish the match in peace. It is still evenly matched until Tien destroys the arena with his Tri-beam attack though Goku dodges and head butts Tien, causing both of them to fall to the ground. Tien won the Tournament due to Goku hitting the ground first, though he gave half of his winnings to him because it was sheer luck that Tien didn't hit the ground first. Yamcha also forgave Tien and forged a friendly rivalry between the two.
Later on they discovered a new enemy, the powerful King Piccolo, and trains with Krillin, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu to face this new threat. They find that training wasn't enough and search to and fro for the dragonballs only to find that King Piccolo had some himself. Tien went with Master Roshi to confront him, but was defeated and forced to watch Master Roshi die. As the demon king summons the dragon, Chiaotzu almost wishes for the annihilation of Piccolo but is stopped and killed by the king, enraging Tien.
Tien then trains himself to use the Evil Containment Wave to defeat Piccolo, and would master it. On his next confrontion with the King, he is forced to fight Drum, a mutated namekian spawn, instead. He is quickly over powered but finds and opening in Drum's defenses and knocks him down, allowing him to use the Evil Containment wave on the demon king, only to have drum block Tien's attack as Piccolo destroys the device used to contain him. Goku arrives to save Tien and kills drum in a single strike. After the King's defeat they wished everybody killed by him and his minions back, bringing back Krillin, Chiaotzu, and Master Roshi.
Over the next couple of years Tien, Krillian, Chiotzu, and Yamcha go to train with Korin before going their separate days. They would meet back at the next World martial Arts Tournament, where Tien fights a Cyborg Tao, and then Goku himself, only to lose because of his Multi-form technique's weakness. He could do little to help Goku as he fought Piccolo Junior.
After discovery of the Saiyans' arrival, Tien works with the other Z fighters to prepare himself against Vegeta and Nappa, training on top of the lookout inside the Pendulum room. In the following battle he and Chiaotzu die fighting Nappa to buy time in order for Goku to arrive, who did later. Because of Kami's influence, Tien and those who died fighting the saiyans were able to train on King Kai's planet, arriving there in a shorter time than Goku, and recieved tougher training than Goku did, and finished his training by fighting both Burter and Jeice of the Ginyu force who were summoned to test the fighters. After the battle on Namek, He and the others were wished back by Purunga.
