He is a ruthless, merciless killer who strives to be the strongest fighter in the universe and will take whatever measures necessary to ensure that. This is also fueled by his rival, Kakarot, who seems to be one step ahead of him the entire time, pushing the Prince to achieve his goal and one day defeat him. To Vegeta, destroying planets was a way to pass time, not caring about how it may affect the lives of others. Proven when he destroyed Arlia for the sheer fun of it.
He is prideful and it often gets in his way, not allowing others to help him and instead only wants to prove his own strength. Fighting those who may have an advantage and not caring about the consequences, arrogant in a way that could turn even the most calm and quiet of individuals into an annoyed and frustrated state. He is blunt and straight to the point, telling it how it is, especially if it allows him to mock the individual he may be fighting. A small and bitter man, but powerful and intimidating.
History:
Named after his father, Vegeta was born on his home planet under the rule of Frieza, a member of the Saiyan army before their destruction at the changelings hands. After becoming one of the Saiyan elite, and being one of the only remaining Saiyan's left in the galaxy, he becomes a mercenary for Frieza. Having sent one of his fellow warriors to earth, Raditz, he received a report about seven magical dragon balls, and the death of another Saiyan. He and Nappa head to Earth in order to retrieve these dragon balls and wish for immortality in order to defeat Frieza. After enjoying some destruction on earth, he encountered the earth's defenders, letting loose the saibamen to do battle. Having defeated one of the humans, the others defeated the saibamen which made Nappa decide to test their strength personally.
Having finished off nearly all the Z fighters before Kakarot showed up, who easily crippled the saiyan elite. Displeased with his failure, when Nappa begged for aid, Vegeta instead ended his life. The Prince and Kakarot engage in battle in a wasteland, the Prince easily overpowering him at the time despite all the training. Goku temporarily closes the gap in power after using Kaiokenx4 and hitting him with a blast of energy, forcing Vegeta to transform into his great ape form. This allows him to nearly take the life of Kakarot, before having his tail cut off by Yajirobe. Still, Goku is too weak to fight, instead Krillin and Gohan combine efforts and force him to retreat to his space pod and return to one of the planets controlled by Frieza, swearing to kill Goku, unable to understand how a low class could defeat an elite.
After being restored he learns from Cui that Frieza and his henchmen had already taken to Namek in search of the dragonballs there, Vegeta quickly follows after them, but is soon ambushed by the very same informant. Due to his increase in strength, he easily disposes of him, along with Dodoria who he encounters not long after. Learning of the true means that lead to his planets destruction, he is further fueled by revenge to kill the changeling. He soon comes face to face with Zarbon, the strongest of the group, and engages in a fierce battle. For awhile, Vegeta has the upper hand, until he undergoes a transformation and toys with him. Left for dead, Zarbon leaves and tells Frieza of the news, however it was not good enough. Taken as a hostage and healed for interrogation, Vegeta steals the dragonballs and hides in them in a nearby river. Enraged, Frieza sends the henchmen after him once more, but the near death experience strengthened the Prince further, and he easily disposes of the reptile.
With much hesitation, he forges an alliance with Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma in order to combat the Ginyu Force, who had arrived in order to get the dragonballs back and bring Vegeta in for interrogation. The user puts the hands up to the face and shouts "TAYOKEN" or "SOLAR FLARE", this causes the sun's rays to be amplified and reflected into the opponent's eyes, thus blinding them. This has been used many times with success. E.G: Tenshinhan against Goku, Goku against Tenshinhan, Goku against Vegeta, Krillin against Frieza and Cell against Piccolo.

The prince of saiyans stood alone in the capsule space ship. Sweat dripped from his for head as he took a massive breath and crossed his arms. Kakarote, you think just because you was able to defeat freazia you are better than me?Vegeta's body leaned over as he was growing more tired by the second. "I am the prince of all saiyan's, and you shall not sure pass me, no matter what!" His hands found resting just above his knee caps. The training had be intense on his body. He wasn't sure how much more he had in him, the only thing that was empowering him was his will to be the best. Better than Kakarot. His body was trying to give out. His hand slipped off of his knee, causing him to fall to his knee's.
450x gravity was finally taking a toll on his body. Every move that the attempted to make was tearing his body apart, but he couldn't stop, not now. Not ever! Pushing his chest off the ground he let out a small scream of agony. Then his body vanished, once it reappeared he was preforming several back hand springs. At this gravity level, one missed landing could equal outcome of someone falling from a skyscraper. That wasn't a concern to Vegeta at this point though. Getting stronger was the only thing that mattered to him now. Surpassing Kakarot, then any other warrior that the universe had to offer up to him.
As his body landed the last hand spring he quickly threw his right leg up into the air with a power, yet swift kick. Before his foot had time to hit the ground he quickly followed up with a forward strike from his right hand, then his left. His body would spin in a full circle as he performed a back hand spin. Following with several haymakers, and jabs.
The jabs came to a halt as his right knee buckled under the pressure. Falling back to one knee he screamed out as his aura busted out around him. Leaping up he did a quick spin kick. The computer activated it's routine training session. Releasing four orbs that would fire one kai blast back and forth between them with Vegeta in the middle of them. Swiftly turning to the sound of the droids release his aura grew as his body leaped off the ground. Now wasn't the time for the prince of saiyans to be resting on the ground. His aura grew with each passing second as the kai machine's inched their way to him.
Eyes zoned in on the droids his body moved to the right as the blast darted past him, then to the left as it ricocheted off of one droid and back at him. It then began to grow in speed as it bounced from droid to droid. Quickly dodging to the left it wasn't quite enough as it grazed his side. "Gawh!" His body turned to follow where the blast went, but with the yelp from before he took to long. The blast hit him in the chest, sending him to the ground with his aura fading.
Rolling over he noticed as the blast was coming again. This time he dodge the blast and dashed for the source of the it's power, the droid. With one well placed kick and a kai wave heading the opposite direction, Vegeta managed to destroy two of the droids, leaving only two more. Weak and tired he wasn't sure how he was going to be able to deal with the last two. "I refuse, I will not be detracted by this anymore!This is our fate Kakarot! Our battle! I shall not stand idly by and watch as you surpass me! You're a low level and I am an ELITE!!!"
The kai blast then crashed into his back. He hadn't had enough left in him to dodge the attack, but just to curse Kakarot before being attacked.
Training Sequence shut down!
As Vegeta laid limb on the ground he now knew it wasn't his determination or his will that was going to allow him to become the greatest of all time, but it was his fury towards Kakarot that would allow him to prevail in due time.
"Hahaha.....I will show you Kakarot...Just wait and see. I will be the GREATEST SAIYAN TO EVER LIVE!!!" as Vegeta yelled as was filled with enough emotion to strike his aura back up his hair flickered a golden yellow, and his eyes a bright green before his passed out.
