A man who believes in only his own strength and pride, Vegeta allows no one to give him orders and depends on no one. He is an arrogant Saiyan and believes himself to be above all others, caring little for the feelings of those around him. He is a ruthless, merciless killer who strives to be the strongest fighter in the universe and will take whatever measures necessary to ensure that. This is also fueled by his rival, Kakarot, who seems to be one step ahead of him the entire time, pushing the Prince to achieve his goal and one day defeat him. To Vegeta, destroying planets was a way to pass time, not caring about how it may affect the lives of others. Proven when he destroyed Arlia for the sheer fun of it.
He is prideful and it often gets in his way, not allowing others to help him and instead only wants to prove his own strength. Fighting those who may have an advantage and not caring about the consequences, arrogant in a way that could turn even the most calm and quiet of individuals into an annoyed and frustrated state. He is blunt and straight to the point, telling it how it is, especially if it allows him to mock the individual he may be fighting. A small and bitter man, but powerful and intimidating.
History:
Named after his father, Vegeta was born on his home planet under the rule of Frieza, a member of the Saiyan army before their destruction at the changelings hands. After becoming one of the Saiyan elite, and being one of the only remaining Saiyan's left in the galaxy, he becomes a mercenary for Frieza. Having sent one of his fellow warriors to earth, Raditz, he received a report about seven magical dragon balls, and the death of another Saiyan. He and Nappa head to Earth in order to retrieve these dragon balls and wish for immortality in order to defeat Frieza. After enjoying some destruction on earth, the encountered the earth's defenders, letting loose the saibamen to do battle. Having defeated one of the humans, the others defeated the saibamen which made Nappa decide to test their strength personally.
Having finished off nearly all the Z fighters before Kakarot showed up, who easily crippled the saiyan elite. Displeased with his failure, when Nappa begged for aid, Vegeta instead ended his life. The Prince and Kakarot engage in battle in a wasteland, the Prince easily overpowering him at the time despite all the training. Goku temporarily closes the gap in power after using Kaiokenx4 and hitting him with a blast of energy, forcing Vegeta to transform into his great ape form. This allows him to nearly take the life of Kakarot, before having his tail cut off by Yajirobe. Still, Goku is too weak to fight, instead Krillin and Gohan combine efforts and force him to retreat to his space pod and return to one of the planets controlled by Frieza, swearing to kill Goku, unable to understand how a low class could defeat an elite.
After being restored he learns from Cui that Frieza and his henchmen had already taken to Namek in search of the dragonballs there, Vegeta quickly follows after them, but is soon ambushed by the very same informant. Due to his increase in strength, he easily disposes of him, along with Dodoria who he encounters not long after. Learning of the true means that lead to his planets destruction, he is further fueled by revenge to kill the changeling. He soon comes face to face with Zarbon, the strongest of the group, and engages in a fierce battle. For awhile, Vegeta has the upper hand, until he undergoes a transformation and toys with him. Left for dead, Zarbon leaves and tells Frieza of the news, however it was not good enough. Taken as a hostage and healed for interrogation, Vegeta steals the dragonballs and hides in them in a nearby river. Enraged, Frieza sends the henchmen after him once more, but the near death experience strengthened the Prince further, and he easily disposes of the reptile.
With much hesitation, he forges an alliance with Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma in order to combat the Ginyu Force, who had arrived in order to get the dragonballs back and bring Vegeta in for interrogation. After losing all of the dragonballs, they engage in combat with the four members of the Ginyu force, Vegeta barely saving Gohan and Krillin by decapitating Guldo. He then goes head to head with Recoome. Despite his strength, Recoome defeats Vegeta. Goku shows up and heals the entire group with Senzu beans, and then easily disposes of the Ginyu force, only allowing Jeice to flee, Vegeta finishing off the others. Leaving Goku to fight Captain Ginyu and Jeice, but later kills Jeice after the two had tracked the group down. Ginyu was soon forced into the body of a frog, and he, Goku, Gohan, and Krillin all take to healing in the rejuvination chambers.
After having his dragonballs stolen and his wish interrupted, Frieza shows up on scene. Provoking Frieza into transforming, he easily overwhelms the group of fighters. After transforming into his final form, and Vegeta comes up with a plan to become a super saiyan, but is still outmatched by the changeling. Having been beaten, he begs Goku to defeat Frieza, before his life was taken from him. Having been wished back to life after the defeat of Frieza, he searches for Goku, but has no luck. Nearly two years later he returns to earth and lives in capsule corp, training and becoming stronger in order to overpower Goku and become the strongest fighter in the universe. However, he awaits the return of the warrior and the new challenger quickly approaching earth.

The sun blared down on the warrior, his armor shining in its light, he stood with arms crossed and eyes closed. There were no challenges, nothing to provide a meaningful battle for the Prince. He was left unchallenged, his rival still missing from the earth. Still, he continued to train, his goal to become the strongest warrior in the universe ever present. He was one of the few Saiyans remaining, only he and Kakarot had pure blood running through their veins, but soon he would be the only remaining warrior. He vowed to defeat the only Saiyan to have ever bested him, to defeat an elite warrior. "Kakarot... when you return, we will have our battle. You will not best me a second time." He uncrossed his arms, eyes opening as he began a series of punches and kicks, striking at air.

He was focused solely on increasing his own strength, the little annoyances meant nothing to him, and would not distract him from his goal. Energy blasts rocketed from his palms, crashing into small hills and mountainsides, forcing the ground to shake slightly. He came to a sudden stop, rage filling his entire body, clenching his fists and bringing them to his sides. Ki began to charge around him, his hair flowing from the current of energy around him. "AHHHHH" He released a scream, powering himself up as a full flame of energy took shape around his small form. He couldn't understand it, and the more he thought about it, the more enraged he became.
He felt as if everything had been stripped from him, his pride disallowing him from simply coming to terms that Kakarot was stronger. It was unacceptable and he would not allow it to happen a second time. He erupted into a torrent of energy, rocketing into the air and flying towards the northern section of the town, where the glaciers and ice took form. He fired off random energy blasts in frustration. "Just you wait, Kakarot. I'll have my victory." The day would become filled with training, sweat dripping from his body as he punched and kicked at the air, released ki in every direction. Determination setting in.
