At his core, Frieza relishes death and destruction. He is notable for being one of the most sadistic being in the universe, and often tries to make his enemies suffer before he kills them. He also has an extremely large ego as well. He tends to view most problems and situations in an intellectual manner, as opposed to a manner of life or death (largely because his immense power causes him to believe he can easily defeat anyone if he chooses to). As a narcissist, he tends to be quite confident both in his abilities and his mind, and reacts violently to criticism. He is cold hearted, ruthless and holds no mercy. He only shows respect to his family.
History:
Frieza was born a child of King Cold and Queen Artica. Both his parents were powerful, but his father was by far the strongest in his family. Frieza knew his father was immensely strong, but never really saw him past his first form. Frieza looked up to his father, as well as his Uncle Frigid.
Frieza had many races under his control. The most prized one were the saiyans. He made them do all his dirty work. One day, he realized that the Saiyans were starting to improve in strength, so he had to do what he thought was the only option, destroy them. He feared that a Saiyan would one day surpass him.
Years later, Frieza traveled to Namek in search of the Dragonballs. There, he encountered the Z-fighters. One in particular, gave him much trouble. This man was named Goku. After an epic battle, Frieza knew that the battle wouldn't end in his favor. So he launched a Super Nova attack at Namek, in attempts to destroy it. As the planet was dying, Goku defeated Frieza and managed to escape. Although everyone thought Frieza was dead, the remains of his body were found by his family. His father managed to repair him, and now he seeks revenge on the monkey that killed him
