Arcadia stands at around 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs about 115 lbs. She is very slim but has some visible muscle mass. Like fellow Felix Sapien's she possesses cat-like ears, a small nose and a tail with striped markings on her forehead, however her ears, hair and tail are white which is astoundingly rare amongst her people who have black, brown or red hair, tails and ears. Her hair is white due to the impact of her own power on her body. She chooses to wear her hair short and often has a token like a flower placed by one of her ears.
She is quite young in terms of the life span of a Felix Sapien as they usually live to the age of 120; since she is 25 she has quite youthful and smooth, somewhat tanned skin. Her chest is about average size for a woman of her height and she has rather long and attractive legs. Her tail is about 30 inches long (2 and a half foot). She also has cat-like eyes and teeth.
She wears a variety of different outfits ranging from light, revealing armor as pictured above, to heavy paladin like armor (which can still be revealing at times...) and various civilian style outfits.
Personality:
Arcadia's personality is far different to what you might seem based on the power she has inherited. Since she has a reputation as a chosen one who must help the universe fend off evil, meeting her might seem a little disappointing, especially if you were a fan. She has no desire to go on adventures or quests and fight to save the galaxy as she would much rather live a simple life; drinking and socializing with those she met at the local establishment. She is not an evil person however and despite not wanting to live this sort of life she reluctantly goes ahead and does as she is told to do by her superiors and family members.
Arcadia is not one to back away from a fight. Although seemingly laid back, if her lifestyle choices or personality are insulted she will fly into a rage. She also has a sense of decency in that if she sees somebody in trouble she will do her utmost to save them. She withholds a sense of chivalry and justice in that way, even though she would appear rather lazy and uninterested.
In terms of romance, Arcadia is attracted to women only. This is a fact that is not known by any of her superiors or family, but is quite obvious to many of her acquaintances that she socializes with down her local tavern. When the subject is touched on by the Supreme Kai or her parents she tends to get embarrassed and look away as she is not comfortable telling them this information. This is not through fear however, she just finds it incredibly awkward. Underneath her confident exterior lies a shy girl.
She usually appears to be very confident, sometimes arrogant, sometimes lazy. She has a habit of being a tease and flirtatious as well when the mood takes her, this can be seen in her choice of clothing as much of it is designed to show at least a little skin and make her look attractive even if what she is wearing is heavy plated warrior armor.
History:
Arcadia was born to a married pair of Felix Sapiens on their home world of Felexis Prime. The planet is somewhat a combination of medieval earth and futuristic technology, still with plenty of countryside and wildlife outside their cities. Arcadia's family lived on a farmstead on the outskirts of one of the planets most well-known cities but when Arcadia was born they moved into the city.
Their reason for doing so was because their daughter had white hair and fur. This was incredibly rare, so rare in fact nobody that had seen the last white felix sapien was still alive; it was thought to be a myth and legend. White furred Felix Sapiens were meant to be prodigies that withheld insane amounts of power. Within their society, the Felix Sapiens treated white furred people as idols and celebrities since to their culture they were like gods. This meant that since the day she was born, everybody knew who Arcadia was.
Because of her fame, the elders of her city declared that she and her family were to stay with them in the central government compound. This was for protection as well as prestige since the elders were also highly revered for their wisdom and because of this their place of residence was well defended. It was also a massive and beautiful compound with large gardens, pools, lakes and great architecture that had stood there for millennium.
This was the place where Arcadia grew up. She was spoken to as if she was special, a chosen one, but one who had to learn to take responsibility and hold the world on her shoulders. She was not spoiled in terms of what she was allowed to do in a day since once she was old enough she was placed into a routine by the elders who would make her run errands for people and help out citizens in town. Her help was greatly appreciated by many who were just thrilled to have got to see the white haired girl. She would also do chores. She did all this reluctantly as would any child as it was not fun. All she wanted to do was go and play which she did, but only after all her jobs were done. Some days she would sneak out of the compound to go and explore but she was often caught; being the only girl on the planet with white hair would do that and she would be punished on her return.
As she got older she was placed into training. The elders knew that the legends tales of power could not be brought forth if she was not trained in the art of battle so they sent for professional soldiers to come in and train with her. This was tough work and since she was still only a child she found it incredibly difficult though she was learning slowly. Through this training she learned about her powers but she could not yet fully control them.
One day the elders and Arcadia's parents received a visit from the Supreme Kai himself. It was a sudden meeting for someone so high profile. He had sensed and been told stories of her potential power and seeked to take her with him as an apprentice so that she may realize that potential. Only one with the knowledge and power he possessed could fine tune the young girls mind and allow her to use her power for the good of the universe.
She left her home world to train with the Kais. During this time she experienced similar teaching and training to the way Goku was taught by King Kai and how Gohan gets trained by Old Kai, however this was not just a brief training period, this was now her life and from the age of about 10 to the age of 25 she has spent her time training and adventuring on the orders of the Kais.
Her first real mission was bestowed on her at the age of 14 when she was deemed capable enough to put her skills to use. By this time she had gained a significant amount of power beyond that of any Felix sapien in known history. She was instructed to accompany the Supreme Kai in order to prevent a demon known as Serabiel from destroying planets in one of the many solar systems under the Supreme Kai's watch.
She faced off against the beast who stood at around 15ft tall, had bull like horns and a nose ring and had the ability to constrict energy to a single point causing things to explode. There was no end to the suffering in that area of the universe until Arcadia arrived. She was scared out of her wits at first as she had never encountered a monster such as this but thanks to her training she had been able to seal the demon away.
Her training with the Kais granted her great power but great responsibility. While she knew offensive techniques to defeat opponents, many of the things she learned with the Kai's were designed to wear down opponents or seal them away. She had specialized in the ability to seal away demons within crystal statues which allowed her to complete countless missions to the satisfaction of the Supreme Kai if not herself.
Arcadia herself believed that these enemies should be sent to the other world so that they could not ever escape and began to train in the art of knife combat and time manipulation. The time manipulation would enable her to slow down time and take down enemies quickly thanks to her increased speed. The knife combat increased her sharpness in combat. She learned where the best places to strike would be and she became a formidable warrior because of it.
If she had her own way of course Arcadia would not be fulfilling these missions but since she was destined to protect the universe she had no other choice. In future when she embarked on missions she would make it a priority to rid the universe of whatever evil befell it before having to resort to sealing it away. Sealing she deemed much too risky but there came times where enemies were just too powerful and sealing was all that could be done.
The Supreme Kai believed her to be too young and emotional when she fought and made it imperative in her training that she learned to calm herself down before she started making poor decisions, never the less, her adventuring was increasing her fame and across various galaxies she was almost seen as some sort of warrior goddess, especially amongst races of people that were not used to seeing cat-people.
One of her most famous battles to date took place on her home planet of Felexis Prime. A succubus named Jialia had bewitched one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy and caused him and his planet to declare war on any other world they encountered. Once the succubus and her mule arrived on Felexis Prime they started wreaking havoc. Arcadia arrived in an instant and commenced a long battle with the succubus and her army ending in her demise. Arcadia managed to out-maneuver her and send a deadly blow right through her stomach using her time manipulation. She was hailed as the greatest hero her home planet had ever seen which Arcadia found all very embarrassing. She just wanted a quiet life and she was already treated like a god on her home planet without this incident making it all the more intrusive. The hype about her being the chosen one was going to out-live even her.
Whenever she was not on missions she was running errands or attending important meetings for the Supreme Kai, more often than not this was the case since she had to fill in for him when he was too busy eating to deal with somebodies problem. She found all of this rather boring herself and would sneak out to go to taverns. The first time she did this she was about 16 years old and a little too young but she found a nice enough one to sit and have a drink. At the age of 25 she is now a regular there and tends to visit for a short while before reporting back from completing a quest. Occasionally she gets caught by the Supreme Kai or one of his representatives and she is dragged by the ear back to report.
After Frieza destroyed planet Namek, it was brought to the Kais attention that the dragon balls were becoming far too dangerous. The Earth had been attacked multiple times and Namek had already been destroyed so the Kai's ordered Arcadia to rectify the problem. It was her quest to find every single dragon ball in existence and seal them within each other. It was not possible to totally remove dragon balls from existence without the creators dying and the Kais had no intention of killing anybody over them so Arcadia was instructed to fuse them as such so that it at least reduced the chance of people collecting all 7 of them. These would become the White Star Dragonballs upon her completed mission.
The creation of this ultimate set of dragon balls is believed to be the reason she was imbued with such power from her birth and why she is considered the chosen one amongst her people. Only she can bring them together and only she can bring about their demise.
Powers and Techniques:
Flight/Power level sensing:
Everybody gets this.
Healing:
This is Dende's and Kibito's ability to completely heal anyone who has been injured. The do this by placing their hands over the injured person and in a few seconds they are healed. Having trained with the Kai's for many years, Arcadia also has this ability.
Bullet Time:
Works in a similar way to Guldo's Time Freeze. Arcadia slows down time rather than freezes it entirely to the extent that a bullet fired from a gun can be seen by the naked eye. Her own reactions are sped up meaning she is capable of dodging things people can't even see with their own eyes. Her cat-like reflexes enable her to do this but in order to use this move she must first take a deep inhalation of breath. Time is slowed (but still moving) for the duration Arcadia can hold this breath.
Instant Transmission:
One of the series' most useful techniques. This allows the user to dematerialize and move as a mass of light. The only downside to the technique is that the user requires a Ki target to "lock onto". Son Goku learned this technique from the people Yardrat after he escaped from the exploding Planet Namek. Arcadia uses this to travel across the universe to complete missions or report back to the Grand Supreme Kai.
Death Seal:
Similar to Future Trunks' trademark Burning Attack first seen when he fights Cyborg Frieza. To perform the attack, Arcadia does a strange system of hand movements, and then ends it by making a triangle like shape with her fingers in which a powerful Ki blast shoots out. Symbolically, these hand movements are representative of a seal being cast, the Ki blast is the resulting 'death' which is meant to occur on those she casts it at.
Lethal Paw:
A high speed rush attack in a similar style to Tien's Machine gun fist. Arcadia flies towards her opponent, and upon approaching, she punches or kicks the opponent to stun, and afterwards delivers heavy but quick blows, performed in rapid succession. She then performs a finishing strike that sends the opponent down to the ground, inflicting good damage.
Roleplay Sample:
Arcadia stood there rubbing her forehead listening to whatever it was King Kai had to say. She wasn't paying much attention of course since these meetings only bored her. It wasn't even her meeting. She had been shoved outside to go and deal with the other Kai's while the Supreme Kai sat around drinking tea.
She raised a hand up to her mouth to yawn and batted her eyelashes.
"Are you even listening to me!?" tapping her three times on the head with the back of his knuckles with a slight frown on his face.
"HEY! Watch where you're poking that would you?! That thing is heavy!" she said rubbing her forehead, "What do you even want with the Supreme Kai anyway? Didn't I already fix one of your messes this week?"
"That was at least a year ago and I don't make messes! Things change every day you know!" he said placing his hands back behind himself in his normal posture.
"Can't you just stay the same for five minutes?" she said looking up into the air, apparently talking to life itself. She slumped up against the door frame and looked exasperatedly at King Kai, "So what is it you want?"
"I just spent the good part of 20 minutes telling you!" he exclaimed, knocking her in the stomach with his fist for her insolence.
"Ow... I really need a vacation..."
Notes on Arcadia's Race
Felix Sapiens are evolved from cats the same way humans have evolved from monkeys. They have humanoid posture but have small noses, fanged teeth, furry ears, a cats tail and striped patterns on their foreheads. They have an acute sense of smell. The average life expectancy of a Felix Sapien is 120 years of age.
They live on the planet Felexis Prime which is located in the South Kai's area of the universe. The planet is governed by a monarch who seeks council from the elders from each major city on the planet. Within their culture age breeds wisdom and as such they greatly revere their elders.
The planet itself is very similar to that of Earth, however the culture could be described as fantasy medieval fused with futuristic technology. Many of the population live within the major cities but there are of course plenty of dwellings out in the countryside as well. They place great pride on their ability to get the best out of the environmental beauty of their planet whilst still maintaining an advanced level of technology and industry.
The greatest legend of their people is that of the white cat which states that any Felix Sapien born with white hair and fur is destined to hold great power. Felix Sapien's usually have black, red or brown hair or fur and so white is extremely rare. It has been thousands of years since the last white Felix Sapien was claimed to have been seen, and people dismissed the stories as impossible until Arcadia's birth.
