Personality: Being brought up in a grim future, Future Trunks displays a serious demeanour most of the time. He may show some Saiyan arrogance towards foes he deems much weaker than him, however he is polite and respectful to the allies around him. Being shown first hand of how it easy it is to change the future, he is not quick to make decisions on in trust in strangers, remaining cautious in his interactions with them.
History: Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma from an alternate future timeline where Dr. Gero managed to mechanize the Earth with the white star dragonballs and continue his systematic mechanical takeover of the entire universe. The Z Warriors fell one by one from the numerous androids under his control, leaving Trunks as the sole survovor. It was thanks to Bulma and her genius with her capsule technology that enabled the survival of herself, her son and the remaining human survivors. They lived underground in capsule homes, with bare supplies while Bulma worked on a time machine.
Some time later, Bulma had finally finished the time machine. Trunks was then sent into the past to find Dr. Gero’s hideout, any more information on the white star dragonballs, and to get stronger. All these measures would be used so he could stop the chaos in his timeline once and for all, though Trunks does intend to get to know and interact with the people who have died in his timeline, like his father Vegeta and Earth’s hero Goku. A side mission was also to give Goku medicine for the heart virus, enabling the Saiyan to stay alive for the threats to come, whereas in his timeline he had died before they came.
