OOC: This is set before Bardock's previous posts
It was time, Bulma’s time machine was finally ready and Trunks was on his way to the past, hoping to save it and his own future timeline. Donning a black singlet under a dark blue capsule corp jacket, he placed the small container with Goku’s antidote into a capsule which he put onto his utility belt. “Don’t worry mom, I’ll make sure Goku gets this.” the hybrid reassured his mother Bulma, who soon embraced him in a farewell hug.
“Trunks, I want you back to me in one piece. Stay out of trouble and don’t do anything reckless okay? I love you son.” she said, holding him close. She really was proud of her son, it took a lot of courage to go on this mission instead of continuously training and challenging the androids. But his chances were slim when even Gohan was no match for them as a Super Saiyan, so their best chance was a trip in the past, their hope lied with Goku.
“I’ll be fine, I’m just going to do what’s needed and come home straight away, I promise.” Trunks hugged her back a little tighter, then turned around as the hatch of the time machine opened up, noting the words ‘HOPE’ that Bulma painted on there and smiling at it softly, it made a lot of sense. Hopping in he waved goodbye to his mother as the hatch closed, pressing the red button to set the time machine on its course.
“I love you mother, I’ll be back soon!”

It took several minutes for the time travelling to work, Trunks looked in wonder at the blur of varying colours from the space like background. He couldn’t wait, of course he was on a mission but the bonus was that he was going to meet all the people from the past, the majority of them that were killed by the Androids already. For those he knew, he missed them dearly, and for those he didn’t, it would be a great opportunity to get to know them. Hearing stories from his mother could only tell him so much, and he couldn’t stop smiling at that fact.
“I can’t wait to meet Goku, my father and all the others.”
Before he knew it, he found himself on past Earth. He seemed to have appeared in some abandoned army base, he wondered what it was exactly. The images of the environment slowly flickering into view, however he wasn’t the only one flickering into the timeline with a glow. Someone was as well, and he watched in awe. The guy was emitting the same energy signals the time machine used to travel, but there wasn’t a sign of the guy using the time machine. Not only that upon closer inspection, the guy looked just like Goku! Yet he just wore something different, perhaps the Goku of the past wore things like that, and could time travel? Maybe that’s why he was able to come to Earth and save everyone from Freiza and his father even though his ship was miles away? Who knows, but he couldn’t wait to find out!
“Goku, it’s great to see you! I never would have thought I’d bump into you straight away!” Trunks called Goku as he opened the hatch to the time machine and jumped out, pressing the button on the side to shift the time machine back into its capsule. “I didn’t know you could time travel as well, that’s amazing! How did you do it?” he went on to ask eagerly, man this just plain awesome for the teen.
