Name: Iaht Joahhe Eliy
Alias: Eliy
Race: Nelpos (Custom Alien)
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance: [Click!]
Personality: Eliy holds herself in high esteem and speaks in a rather formal manner, which comes from her years and years of service guarding the Iaht queen. She takes her job quite seriously as all nelpos soldiers do. In fact, the easiest way to get under her skin is to speak ill of her queen.
Ever since crash landing on Earth, she has been especially irritable and impatient. This is due to her uncertainty of being stranded on a planet so far from Eniyunirid. She’s feeling vulnerable without the guidance of her queen or the company of her fellow soldiers and doesn’t want to show these feelings of weakness under any circumstance.
As much as Eliy constantly tells herself that she has no interest in the affairs of Earthlings, deep down she’s really just a big softie. If she sees trouble, she will inevitably give in and lend her assistance. She never admits it as an act of good will or that she just wants to help though. No, she has to be stubborn at first and come up with a random excuse to tell people, no matter how untrue it actually is. Aft all, she’s better than these pathetic Earthlings, right? Right?
History: Eliy hatched from one of the Iaht Queen’s egg clutches, and was raised just like any other nelpos soldier. Since birth she has been groomed to be a fighter, and to assist the queen in any way necessary. Her training was rigorous, and she took it quite seriously. After all, this was all to serve her queen. What higher honor could anyone else hope for? Eliy’s desire to keep the queen safe drove her to study and train in each field diligently. When she was old enough to leave to academy, she was the top of her class.
Due to Eliy’s hard work, when she graduated the academy she became one of the queen’s elite personal guards. She took orders directly from the queen, and carried out all of her most important tasks. Unfortunately, there weren’t any disputes between any of the neighboring queens. Eniyunirid was at peace, which meant that the most Eliy had to do was go settle trivial disputes between workers. It wasn’t exactly the work she had been hoping for after training so hard to become the warrior that she was. Still, serving the queen was serving the queen. Peace was better than their leader being in danger.
During a particularly slow week, Eliy was ordered to escort several workers on a trade mission to another planet. She was to watch over them as they worked and make sure they got to and returned from their destination safely. Eliy jumped at the chance to go on the mission. Finally, she would have something interesting to do! She had never been to space before. This could be exciting.
The trade mission was going smoothly at first, until the ship they were decided to malfunction about halfway to the planet they were headed to. The crew wasn’t sure what went wrong. All they heard were explosions coming from the engine room. Eliy jumped straight into action and started rounding up everyone on the ship and herding them over to the escape pods. They had to evacuate!
Eliy was the last one to get out. She boarded her escape pod as more explosions were heard and the ship was beginning to crumble. Unfortunately, one of these explosions went off a bit too close to the escape pod that the young soldier was occupying. It jerked hard enough to the side that Eliy head smashed against the door and knocked her unconscious. The explosion also messed with the coordinates that had been programmed into the pod. The escape pod pulled away from the wreckage just fine. However, when Eliy would finally regain consciousness, she would find that it hadn’t touched down on Eniyunirid at all. Instead, she would find herself on a little blue planet called Earth.
Powers and Techniques:
Flying (with her ki, not her wings)
Regeneration*
Mouth Blast
Hyper Tornado
Crusher Ball
* - Eliy can regenerate limbs, wings, or antennae if lost in battle. Needs up to 12 hours of rest during regeneration period as replacement part forms out of their blood, which becomes thicker and sticky when exposed to air. The fluid slowly forms into whatever was missing and cells go to work replacing the look and function of whatever was lost.

"No, really! I-" Sophie tried to protest as she watched the professor disappear into the next room. She pouted for a few seconds, before catching the smell of the freshly baked cookies piled neatly on the plate next to her. She stared intently at the plate, attempting to resist the allure of the sweets. Come on, she had a stronger will than this, didn't she? Only kids would be munching on cookies instead of thinking about what their first pokemon. But... chocolate chip...
Well, it was an awfully long trip. Also, Professor Leif did insist, didn't he? Surely he was going through a lot of trouble to get a pokemon for Sophie. It would be rude not to accept his offer! Just one wouldn't hurt, right? This was definitely just to be polite though! Sophie slowly reached her hand out and snatched a cookie from the top of the pile, taking a rather large bite out of it. It was then that the professor returned with eight pokeballs. "Uhh, I decided that you made far too many cookies to eat yourself, so I decided to accept your offer! You would get a tummy ache if you ate too many!" Sophie tried to explain, her mouth still half full of cookie. It seemed like she was trying to convince herself that it was okay, more than the professor.
Her attention snapped to the pokeballs as soon as they were set on the table. There were so many choices! Which one was she supposed to pick? Tauros was a familiar pokemon to her. Her family had several of them on the farm back home. Cleffa was absolutely adorable though! "Hmm," Sophie hummed as she studied each pokeball carefully. She definitely wanted something cute, but it had to be durable at the same time. "I'll take... this one!" she announced as she grabbed Phanpy's pokeball. Yes, Phanpy wasn't a bad starter at all!
Nelpos
Home Planet: Eniyunirid
Biology: The nelpos are a race of humanoids with insect features. They have pale skin, antennae, and a ring of fluffy, white fur around their neck. They have coarse, bristle-like hair and their eyes lack an iris or a pupil; their hair and eyes have been known to be any color in the visible spectrum. All nelpos have an extra pair of insectoid limbs that sprout from their lower back. These limbs are covered in a thick exoskeleton and end in a sharp point; they can be used for digging, combat, balance, or anything else you could conceivably do with an extra limb that has no fingers.
All nelpos have a pair of wings sprouting from their backside. The type of wings vary between the three different classes of nelpos, worker, soldier, and queen. No matter the class, these wings are not meant for flying since they are too fragile to lift any nelpos into the air. Instead they are used for balance and to help identify what class a nelpos is.
Nelpos have different digestive systems when compared to that of a human’s. They can’t digest anything solid, and get all of their nutrients from liquids. They have the option of drinking a straight liquid, or using their fangs to drain fluids from anything solid, somewhat like vampires. However, just because they can drain the fluids from something doesn’t mean that those fluids are healthy for them.
It is also worth noting that a nelpos has viscous, bright green blood. If someone ever gets an injury that breaks the skin, their blood bubbles up from the wound, covers it completely, and then hardens into a protective shell. It prevents infection and works as sort of a healing factor, though not quickly enough to matter in a fight.
Society: Nelphos live on Eniyunirid and have a matriarchal society. Eniyunirid is broken up into several different territories, each of them ruled by a different queen. Disputes between queens are rare, but often escalate into war depending on the nature of the dispute. Other than that, they are a fairly peaceful race, heavily reliant on mining the rich supply of minerals beneath their planet’s surface and trading resources with other planets. They interact openly and friendlily with other races, always looking to build better relations with potential trade partners.
Worker
Average Lifespan: 60 years
Appearance: A worker’s wings resemble a smaller version of a dragonfly’s, with a wingspan of only about 3’6”. They aren’t very impressive to look at.
Role: Workers are the blood of nelpos society and make up the majority of the population. Most of them turn out to be miners, but they take care of most of the other jobs needed to keep society functioning like running shops, working in factories, trading with other planets, and everything in between.
Soldier
Average Lifespan: 120 years
Appearance: Soldiers have an insectoid, exoskeleton covered abdomen attached to their tailbone and feathery appendages sprouting from the sides of head that match their hair color. Their wings look like butterfly wings, and their wingspan is roughly as long as they are tall.
Role: Soldiers are the police and royal guards of nelpos society. They are groomed since birth to be fearsome warriors. Once hatched, they are immediately taken to academies built to maximize the effectiveness of their training, and are raised and taught there until they can leave at age 18.
Queen
Average Lifespan: 700 years
Appearance: Queens have the largest and most decorated wings of the three classes. Like soldiers, they look like the wings of a butterfly. However, their wingspan can reach up to triple their height, and is covered in vibrant colors and elegant designs. The exoskeleton of their insectoid limbs are also covered in bright, intricate patterns.
Role: A queen is both the heart and brain of nelpos society. She is usually the mother of all nelpos living in her territory and makes all of the decisions regarding said territory. A clutch of her eggs hatch every month, with anywhere from 12 to 30 eggs per clutch. Roughly 80% of these eggs hatch into workers, while the remaining 20% are soldiers. When a queen dies, her body releases pheromones directed at her offspring that have yet to hatch. The eggs pick up on these pheromones, and one of the nelphos incubating inside is able to shift its genetic code to hatch into the territory’s next queen.
