What exactly was Eliy doing? Awaiting for Eliy in the sky because she had taken off the ground, Chichi had thought about how Eliy was behaving with her sarcasm and temper. It was strange because it was usually Chichi who behaved in a bad way towards random strangers. Sure they had given each other a brief history and she now knew Eliy by name, but there were other mysteries that were left unsolved about the elegant Eliy.

Eliy returned with something round on her back. Whatever it was looked somewhat heavy. The fact that Eliy could carry it meant she was strong. It did not intimidate Chichi, by any means, but it kept her senses extra sharp because though Eliy seemed friendly one never knew.

Back to the ship. Chichi inspected it with her eyes for a couple of seconds. It looked like a big moon except it had a red window in the middle. This was the first time Chichi had seen a space pod up close so she had no idea what it was.

What Eliy would say next had Chichi confused. It was not her area of expertise what exactly Dr. Briefs could do with it. Eliy mentioned that Dr. Briefs would perhaps know what to do with it. Her son Gohan probably had seen these things in his science books. Chichi did receive an education in etiquette, but science/technology were not her strengths.

About what Eliy was talking about with the pod possibly giving Dr. Briefs the tool to help, it was possible although the old coot almost got Chichi killed one time when she tried to travel in space. Chichi did not want to remember her problems with space nor was not in the mood to continue learning about the Universe. A joke would come in handy in this siutation to keep her awful memories from ruining her mood. She had a taken another look at Eliy and then the ship.

"If only planets were as big as what you are carrying on your back, then no one would have to worry about missing home." She put a sly smile on her face. Chichi, though a firecracker, had a sense of humor. She usually poked fun at people or things.

Currently, she had started flying alongside Eliy towards the city where Dr. Briefs resided.

"All joking aside Eliy. You will be happy with meeting Dr. Briefs even if he is an old coot who talks to a black cat. His black cat tried to get me into space one time. " Once again she had joked with sarcasm. It took her a moment to gather her thoughts together. To help herself, she closed her eyes to rid herself from that memory too. Another aspect that help was the fresh air, which blew against her skin to calm the images she had been remembering.

She had recently learned to fly which could be noted as she was not as comfortable with flight as she was with the ground. Every day she got better, but if one had to sum her level at flying, it would be rookie. Thank goodness she had because this freedom of flight was incredible. Her mind returned to the conversation at hand.

"Dr. Briefs will help you out and so will the black cat. Just be prepared for the madness." The black cat comment was added for humor. However, everything else she mentioned as honest. Her arms had been by her hips as she was flying, but seeing the city coming close, her finger pointed at it.

"Look. There it is. The best place to shop...and meet lunatics." Chichi would not make a good travel guide because she'd likely cause people to awe, yet fear the place they were arriving to. Good thing it wasn't her job. Even with her human eyesight, she could spot how big it was from a distance.

[Reverie]

Eliy and Chichi flew through the air, side by side. Her escape pod sat on her back, held steady with her extra pair of limbs. The nelpos would have to be sure to stay close to her, seeing as how she hadn’t a clue where they were going other than the fact that there would be a scientist there.

Eliy raised an eyebrow as Chichi made a comment about planets being the size of her escape pod. While they would be convenient, would a planet that size really be livable? At that point wouldn’t it just be a boulder? She studied Chichi’s face for a moment before determining that it was a joke of some sort. Eliy opened her mouth to reply, but quickly decided against it. She didn’t want whatever retort to lead into another outburst.

”I take it you aren’t exactly a seasoned traveler of space either then? Neither am I. That’s probably one of the reasons why I’m stuck here at the moment,” Eliy replied. As soon as she got home, she would make a mental note to try to avoid future trading missions. She wanted to avoid space for as long as possible after this little incident. …Oh, who was she kidding? If her queen asked her, she would take on another mission without much fuss at all. Such is the life of a nelpos soldier…

”Madness, you say?” the nelpos repeated. Oh goody, that was exactly what she needed more of. Today was just getting better and better. Still, if this scientist could get the job done then she would keep her complaints to a minimum. Eliy pause for a moment before looking back at Chichi. ”Just one question… What is a ‘black cat’?”

Eliy barely got her question out when Chichi pointed over to a large city that they were coming up on. So that was an earthling city? It looked rather similar to the cities you saw on Eniyunirid. That was actually kind of a relief. If the two races were that similar, it shouldn’t be hard at all to find what Eliy was looking for. ”Judging by the way you keep mentioning it, there seems to be quite a bit of insanity to be found on Earth,” she commented as they closed the distance between themselves and the city.

Some of the questions Eliy asked of Chichi were humorous to say the least. Most of the time Chichi would yell at Goku for asking questions that had obvious answers to them. However, Eliy had an excuse. She had never grown on Earth. It was her first time visit.

Like Eliy, Chichi was not a seasoned traveler. The only way Chichi would leave Earth would be to save her family from danger which is what she tried to do when they were Namek. Somehow Dr. Briefs sabotaged the ship. IF it weren't for Chichi's super human abilities, she would likely be dead from the accident. She decided to refrain from answering Eliy's question about traveling. It was too uncomfortable to remember.

The cat question made Chichi rub her cheek with her hand because how could she answer it? The cat was as dumb as the muslce bums that Goku and Gohan hung out with. As they closed in on the city, Chichi made sure to find the outskirts of the city first because she truly did want Eliy to notice what kind of madness Earth was truly about.

"You think you've seen madness, but you haven't seen anything yet." Judging by Eliy's questions, it didn't seem like the elegant girl had seen anything besides beauty. Despite Chichi's royal heritage, she had seen more than most women have in her youth.

"You'll see the cat too. I think Dr. Briefs glued the cat onto his shoulder because he always sits there. Just hope it isnt the cat that helps you out." Chichi couldn't help herself blame the cat for the problems Dr. Briefs caused with technology. Once they were close to the outskirts, Chichi landed on the ground lightly. The street ended right where they had and had turned into a dirt path. Right away Eliy could see the amount of people walking around on the busy sidewalks.

The people were a mixture of animal people and humans. SOme of the animal people were dogs and pandas. There was a variety of differences in the human race something Eliy might not comprehend.

"Welcome to paradise." Chichi was once again being sarcastic. The only thing she liked abou the city was the mall. Other then that, she'd rather avoid it.

Honking, shouting, talking, laughing, phones going off, red/green traffic lights flickering, jumbo screens on some of the buildings...just to name a couple of the scenes at the moment.

Chichi was used to the hectic lifestyle of the city, but would Eliy be? Being a good sport, Chichi remained next to Eliy to keep her relaxed. She would rather travel to Caspule Corp on foot than to attract attention by flying. If they flew and someone spotted them, it was possible they'd get the army on them.

"Follow me...stay close. There are scoundrels everywhere." Chichi prepared herself for whatever may come at them. Would Eliy?

[Reverie]

Eliy shifted the escape pod on her back anxiously. They hadn’t been in the air for all that long, but she was feeling restless. Would Dr. Briefs truly be able to assist her? She had hope, but she wanted to reach him before the feeling was lost. Doubt was already creeping slowly into her mind as scenario after scenario played out in her head. Not many of them were positive. Chichi’s comment about Eliy not seeing the true madness yet wasn’t helping matters.

”Why would it be a problem if this ‘cat’ tries to assist? Is it not actually a scientist? Does it give bad advice?” the alien asked, still unable to grasp what a cat was. Chichi hadn’t given her any details, so she had nothing to go off of. Was it similar to a niyep, a race of mischievious imp-like creatures that inhabited Eniyunirid? Those little beasts loved nothing more than to play tricks and pull pranks, be they malicious or no more than harmless mischief. It was never wise to take advice from a niyep. How similar were they to this ‘cat’ that Chichi kept speaking of?

Eliy gave a little nod in acknowledgement as she watched Chichi land and quickly followed suit. She was shocked to find so many Earthlings down here. She wasn’t exactly sure why, seeing how it was on of their cities. Maybe it wasn’t the number of them them threw her off, but how much their appearance varied between each one. Some looked like Chichi, but others were covered in fur and had radically different facial structures. Were they all classified as the same type of Earthling, or did they have different subspecies or classes similar to her own race?

No matter how these people differentiated themselves from one another, one thing was for sure. It was certainly noisy down here at ground level. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing; Eliy was used to noise. There was lots of heavy machinery on Eniyunirid that littered nelpos cities. Since their home world was so rich in various types of ore, their entire economy was based around mining it up and fashioning it into various creations. While it was true that Eliy always preferred the quiet patrols around the palace to patrolling the noisy city streets, she didn’t mind the ruckus too terribly much.

As soon as the two of them were both on the ground, Chichi whispered a word of caution about scoundrels around here. Was the city not safe? That was definitely a new concept. How was such a large city supposed to function properly if its citizens were constantly worried about crime? Either way, Eliy figured that it would be best to go along with it. ”Very well. Is there any specific cause for concern, or is it more of a general warning?” Eliy asked in a quiet tone, trying not to attract too much attention to herself. That would be difficult with her appearance as it was, as well as the fact that she was still carrying a large chunk of metal.

Eliy's naive attitude about everything had almost caused a rugged woman like Chichi to laugh. Everyone on Planet Earth knew what a cat was. A cat wasn't exactly another race or anything at the level of their intellect. Sure animals were intelligent in their right, but not at the level of a scientist. She would be shocked to see how a black cat truly was. Rather then responding to Eliy's question about Dr. Brief's cat, she continued to lead her through the jungle of the city.

About a mile down the block a large, yellow building could be seen by everyone. The building had rarely been seen by Chichi , yet she knew it was the Capsule Corp building from the times she had visited. She would rather not remember those visits especially when Mrs. Briefs was there.

"There is cause for concern if you want to keep your sanity." She said sarcastically and truthfully.

A smile continued to shine on Chichi's face because they were close to reaching their destination with little problem. Oh they were close to reaching Capsule Corp and no sign of lunatics or scoundrels....not yet at least. She may have just jinxed herself with that thought.

"WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" A man shouted in excitement. It had seemed as if some kind of strange music had started playing. All of a sudden a man in plain, white underwear jumped out of a job interview with a slip in his hand. He stopped right in front of Eliy and Chichi just to do his little dance. The man was not exactly the most attractive either. Either way, he thought he was the hottest thing on the planet. He wiggled his eyebrows straight at them both not even noticing Eliy's distinct appearance.

Song Playing:

Chichi's cheeks turned a flaming pink from embarrassment. They were so close to avoiding any and all loons, yet a man in his underwear had been dancing right in front of them. She covered her eyes with one hand. The embarrassment had been too much for her to handle.

"Ughhh..." She grumbled to herself.

[Reverie]

”There’s that talk of madness again. I beg your pardon, but-” Eliy started to say, but was interrupted by someone shouting. Before Eliy knew what was happening, another Earthling had jumped in their path and was performing some type of strange little dance. She opened her mouth to comment, but found that she had no words to do so with. All she could really do was stare at the odd display. He kind of reminded Eliy of a drunkard who had just stumbled out of a bar. Boy, was she no stranger in dealing with those…

Eliy shot a glance in Chichi’s direction. Her face had turned a vivid shade of pink, and she seemed to be trying to cover it up with her hand. ”I take it that this isn't Dr. Briefs?” she whispered. It was an educated guess judging from Chichi’s expression and the fact that there was nothing on this Earthling’s shoulders.

Eliy turned back to the strange being and furrowed her brow. ”Citizen, you are in the way. We have urgent business to take care of. I implore you to stand aside,” the insectoid woman ordered. Her voice was low but firm. She even puffed out her chest in an attempt to intimidate him. You could hear it in her voice that she was trying to keep herself quiet. Eliy didn't want to be noticed any more than they already were. They had to move on and she wanted as few distractions as possible. Hopefully this guy would take the hint and get out of their way.

"NoitiisnotDr.Briefs" Chichi muttered in between her teeth because the situation had been more than she could bare. Her cheeks had puffed up in embarrassment. Dr. Briefs, though looney, would never dance in front of women half naked. He was married to a crazy lady too so they were a perfect couple.

"Guys I GOT THIS JOB MANNNN!" The man was excastic. He continued his dance where everyone in the area had turned to see what he was doing. Some pointed while others laughed at his antics. He didn't care though because he had felt accomplished.

He no longer paid attention to Chichi or Eliy. When Eliy had spoken to him, he spun around to give their back to them.

Chichi had enough of the man's antics. She even listened to how Eliy approached him with manners and kindness. He had not listened so it was Chichi's turn to move him. The embarrasment disappeared.

"Lesson number one Eliy" She said preparing something special for the man who did not get out of their way. It was not like she was giving Eliy any lessons, but this situation called for a quick lesson.

"When you're on Earth, you have to take the bull by the horns. Get your hands dirty or in this case foot." As the man had spun to show his back to them, Chichi sent a straight kick into the man's behind. The power behind the kick launched the man straight into a pile of garbage on the side of the sidewalk.

"AHHH" He squealed as his body hit the pile of garbage.

'Yuuuuckkk" A banana peal had landed on his head and several used diapers lay on his lap.

Chichi laughed to herself before giving the man a glare.

"That'll teach you to get in the way." No longer concerned with the man she walked foward. Their mission had been to see Dr. Briefs. Capsule Corp was just ahead across a busy street. The yellow building could be seen from a distance from any direction of the city.

"Dr. Briefs is in that building." Chichi pointed to it so that Eliy could take her mind off the man and focus on the reason she had come to the city in the first place.
