Once again Malachi had picked up a job that he'd likely have to quit for being too good at or too swift in completing it. He was a simple window washer in the business district. Unlike most of the others that had a mobile scaffolding they stood on and used pulleys to maneuver up and down the tall buildings' sides, Malachi simply flew with a bucket of water and cleaning solution on one arm and the squeegee and sponge in the other.
He started at the top of the building on the side facing away from the sun during the morning. He worked his way across each floor and then down to the one below it, taking only a few minutes for ever two or so floors. He occasionally distracted some of the workers on the more openly viewable floors because they could see him floating on the air while he worked. Still, he was doing a decent job of getting the weather stains and bird droppings off the glass, so they couldn't really complain.
The day passed by slowly. He tackled one whole side of the building in just an hour, and with only four sides in total, it'd barely be lunch time by the time he finished the whole place. Still, he kept working through his boredom in hopes that they might have a second building for him to wash the windows of once he finished with this one.

attire: Gohan, Videl, and Goku were doing their training while Chichi was left with the responsbility to do some errands. Once again, Chichi had come to the city on her own to get herself checked at the doctor and go food shopping. Good thing she could fly now. There were plenty of people in the city like there always was. They had nothing better to do. Chichi was unconcerned for the general population. If she was there, it was for her family and herself. It often had her cursing under her breath that she was the one that had to go food shoppin. It was the half saiyans and saiyan that ate all of it....not just her. She knew they had to prepare for training, but it was also her fault for not telling them she had left again. She did not want to be watched 24/7 especially because her stubborn attitude. The doctor's office was approaching. She glanced up at the tall building. There were people washing the windows. Well at least they were doing something productive. Not paying too much attention to them, she entered the building to have her appointment with the doctor. After several minutes passed by, she was in the doctor's office which was on the same level as the people were washing the windows. She sat down on the medical table unconcerned by what was happening with the windows. The doctor walked in and approached Chichi. He wanted to check up on her symptoms. The last time she was there she was accompanied by a crazy haired man who was her husband and a blue haired girl who the doctor found attractive.
"Well Son Chichi. How are you doing today?"Chichi streched her back before answering. "How am I supposed to feel doctor? I got headaches, I faint often, and....other then that I'm okay. I feel like hurting someone though every time I feel....." Her tone was harsh before she had calmed down. When Hercule entered the room, she glanced away with anger. She was about to say something before a man named Hercule rushed inside the room. "THE CHAMP IS HERE!" Hercule had seen that Chichi walk into the Hospital. Since that day he had saved her, he wanted to check up on her. He also used her as a way to gain more fans. He had a lot, but the more the better. One day he would convert the whole world into Herculemaniacs.
"I came to check up on the damsel on distress. After all, I did pay for all the visits." Hercule smiled at his accomplishment.

Malachi had done his best not to gawk at the people he saw through the glass even though more than a few had returned such gazes at him. He shrugged most of it off and went about his work. There was one window, one of the smaller ones, sadly, that he was looking through where one of the people caught his eye. It was one he recognize. The man with an exceptionally fluffy hairstyle and an apparently overzealous attitude. The man in question was none other than Hercule. Why he knew who this man was happened to be a long story, but he was fascinated that such a man would randomly appear in a doctor's office, especially in the middle of an active appointment between patient and doctor.
Malachi did his best to keep his eyes on the glass itself and not on them, scrubbing every tiny speck away as a means of keeping himself on this window for as long as he could. With a bit of focus he could vaguely hear their words. Though the most clear to him happened to be Hercule, who was also the loudest and most obnoxious of the three. They were, after all, in a doctor's office.
Still, he moved the squeegee up and down, occasionally dipping it into the bucket to rinse it off, to keep up the illusion that he was still focused on work and not on the unique conversation and meeting that was happening right in front of him. So the 'Champ' had saved this woman's life? From what he could glean from sensing the two, it seemed highly unlikely. Maybe Hercule was masking his power?

The doctor witnessed Hercule walk in and had put a smile on his face. The doctor was certainly happy with the pay checks he had been receiving these past months.
"Hello there Hercule. You are just in time to see Son Chichi's appointment through. I just have to check her signs and she should be good to go. Good thing you brought her in like you did Hercule. I don't know if they would have made it.
Hercule smiled because the doctor too had believed his story. He walked over to Chichi and had to flex his muscle in front of her just to prove his point.
"Anything to help the public. I have to use this strength for something."
Chichi had been glancing out the window no longer paying attention to Hercule. She could easily lose her temper, but at the moment she knew she had to control herself. When he approached her, her head turned to see that Hercule was flexing his muscle. She was inches from punching him or even throwing him out the window. If anything, it was her that risked her life for him. He did help somewhat, but now he was boasted about saving her completely. The doctor saw this tension and placed himself in between them.
"Son Chichi you need to calm yourself. You don't want to strain yourself okay? Lets get you checked?"
Chichi glared at the doctor. All while she had been dealing with two idiots she could feel eyes on ALL of them. It happened to be female intuition that had her more cautious than usual. Her attention turned to the man who was washing the window. She got off the medical table and walked over to the window. They were extremely high up. Though it appeared she was focusing on the man washing the window, she was not. However, it was not him that she was glancing at.
Her vision was as good as a human's could get. She looked at the direction where she thought she was being looked at.
"Son Chichi what is wrong. You need to stop stressing?"
Hercule laughed.
"She is just admiring the view doc. It was me that saved this city."
"Shut up..." She whispered to both of them. There was something bothering her. Her black orbed eyes glanced up towards the sky to what appeared to be a sun. If it was the sun, she would hurt her eyes, but Then, like a
Hercule approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder. He looked out the window to see what she was looking at. There was a bright looking sun in the sky.
"It's the sun. I could break it wiht my bare hands if you don't like it."
"No that's no sun you fool...and get our hand off of me before I break it." All of a sudden screaming could be heard as the blast went straight through some buildings and headed straight towards the medical room that she was in.
Her eyes widened at the blast charging straight at them. The whole sky had turned a light yellow. Not only was there a man outside washing the window, but there were people inside too. Being weakened by her pregnancy, she could not even attempt to fight back.
"GET DOWN YOU IDIOT!" She yelled aggressively and motioned for the man washing the window to do something. She remembered he was high up so he could probably die. Before he could attempt to jump or anything, she grabbed a nearby table and threw it through the window. Normally, she was unconcerned about bystandards, but this effected her. Then, as the glass shattered, she reached at the man and pulled him in. All this happened in a matter of seconds.
Once she had pulled the man in, she threw him onto the ground pretty hard too Hercule and the doctor had seen the blast coming at them and immediately had done what Chichi had said. They dropped down the ground.
"Son Chichi get down!" The doctor demanded. He was worried for her as well for himself. Hercule was acting a bit scared at the moment. He didn't want to die.
The large blast charged at them. Both her arms stuck out and she pointed her palm sto the blast. A red aura surged around her. With all her might, she sent a white energy beam right at the large blast. The blast was extremely strong and started to cause her to skid back. She almost fell over Hercule, but he had stood up to keep her steady. He senses that she may need help.
The blast was bright which caused her to squint. She couldn't handle it at her current state.
"I...can....t ...stop it!" Her toned biceps flexed as she continued to attempt to push it back. Whoever had done this was no rookie and knew exactly how much to put into it to possibly kill her.

Malachi's focus was on keeping his guise of cleaning while still maintaining some form of understanding of the conversation in the room in front of him. As Chi Chi approached the window and began to stare out, looking up at something above them, he could feel that her gaze wasn't quite on him. More like it was looking through him at times and then past him at others. He had no clue what was coming straight for them from behind him, and it would certainly throw a wrench into the normal grinding of his otherwise boring day.
Her expression changed rapidly from one of concern and interest at what she had been looking at to one of worry and frustration. He heard vaguely through the glass her shout something about getting down and insulting him. He raised an eyebrow and looked over his shoulder to see the incoming blast just before she broke the window and jerked him inside, slinging him to the floor.
He recovered quickly, now realizing the eminent threat to their lives. As he got to his feet and looked over to the woman, who was quite clearly stronger than he had initially thought. Though she was currently fighting a losing battle with the blast that was headed for them, she still managed to slow it down. To top it all off she was pregnant, which he'd gleaned from a bit of eavesdropping in their earlier conversation.
Without hesitation he charged forward, his transparent maroon colored energy springing up from his feet and engulfing his form as he thrust both palms towards the blast. His hands surrounded with energy, he stood beside her and put his full strength into shoving the attack back and giving her as much support as he could. Even if she was ridiculously strong compared to everyone else he'd met on this planet, she was still a mother to be. "No joke! This is...pretty stout...Hehe..."
He let out a snide chuckle at their situation. He'd been doing his best to avoid this kind of craziness, but somehow it kept finding him. So much for living a semi-normal life. At least he was still able to do the right thing and help people. In this case he was sort of repaying the woman for saving his backside a moment ago. And potentially saving the life of her unborn child. Though he'd only been pressed against it a few moments now, the intensity of the energy and the strain of trying to force it back put sweat on his brow.

The blast was on the verge of killing all of them. Though she was focused on the blast, she managed to back shrug Hercule off of her. She did not need his help in dealing with this situation. If anything, he would probably make it worse. The more she fought off the blast the worse it seemd to be. She was tiring, and it seemed that all was lost. It was then that she noticed someone jump next to her to aid her in the fight to stop the blast from killing them. To her surprise, it was the window cleaner. He was powerful more than she had imagined. However, her stubborness always effected her better judgement. When he jumped in, she had to give him a rude remark. Chichi did not like receiving help from people, but in this case, she did not do anything to hasty to get the man to leave her alone. The blast that had been sent towards them was now being pushed back by the stranger's help. He was able to push it back away from the people and up into the sky. The danger was momentarily fought off. "I didn't need your help moron. I had it all under control." She was breathing heavier than usual. Normally, she would have not wasted as much energy, but at the moment she was more vullnerable than she would like to admit during her pregnancy. Hercule and the doctor stood looking at each other in shock. Neither of them said a word. Chichi had mood swings even without her pregnancy, but right not it was worse. Her tough attitude had softened when she felt a sudden coldness run through her veins. The blast was directed right at her. The energy she sensed was a familiar one that had haunted her for the past couple of months. She was not scared of anyone, but in this case she really thought a ghost was after her. Tears started to form in her eyes. She did not want to cry in front of strangers or anyone. It was rare that she let anyone know her emotions or cry in front of anyone. She looked at everyone around the room before excusing herself. The fear she felt overcame her. "Excuse me. I got to go." Her voice was a hurtful whisper. She left the room. Some tears managed to slip down her cheeks. It was almost as if she was in a horror movie, and there was no escape for her.

He breathed a sigh of relief as the destructive orb slowly turned tail and shot off into the sky, leaving the partial damaged city block to a more peaceful recovery hopefully. He let his energy dissipate around him, his aura fading out of sight as he turned to face the woman who had saved him. Despite their teamwork and success in saving numerous lives, she seemed upset that he'd lent a hand to her in stopping the blast.
"Hey, wait a minute. Why are you mad at me? We just saved a bunch of lives here, including our own." He wasn't really mad at her for being upset. More along the lines of him being annoyed that she was so negative about stopping a ball of death from crashing through a few more buildings with innocents inside them. Still, something was up that she wasn't saying. The vibes he picked up on the mental energy wavelengths weren't of confidence or pride that one might expect to have from stopping such an attack and saving so many. They were of fear and worry...probably that it might happen again. In that case, that attack was definitely no accident.
He shook his head as she rushed out of the room in tears. THough he didn't see her crying, he could feel it. "If you two will excuse me, I believe that we aren't finished quite yet. Best keep in a safe place for a while. Things could get rough again," he warned the two and headed out the door after Chi Chi. He hoped she'd understand his concern. It was hard to ignore such strong feelings when you have the mental presence of a psychic and such things register very strongly with you. It was like looking at a thermal image and she was white hot with energy all over from the strength of emotion she was exuding. He couldn't ignore that. "Miss, wait! Please! I'd like to help you."

{How can that cruel monster be back? I...I thought I defeated him....Why won't he leave me alone? He is forever going to bother me...he will never go away.} The thoughts of Torn having returned were chilling. Chichi rubbed her eyes as she walked through the halls of the hospital towards the elevator. She was the type of woman who would rather die than let others interfere in he rproblems. She was so occupied with her thoughts that she had not seen the window washer following her.
All she could think about was the safety of her family and her baby. Both of which she would die for if she had too. Her thoughts were cut off by someone who appeared to be calling for her. She turned around to see that the window washer had been following her. The tears that were forming up in her eyes had been held back when he approached her. Once again, her stubborn attitude kicked in. She did not want a random stranger knowing her weaknesses or what had been bothering her.
"What do you want?" She responded in a snappy tone.
Hercule was left looking at the damage. He glanced over at the doctor. He coughed and stood up straight.
"I taught her that trick. These tricksters. I gotta deal with them.
The doctor was still confused and shocked by what he had seen. Not to mention his office was completely destroyed.
The elevator that she had waited to open had closed. A frustrated sigh escaped Chichi. Not to add anymore enemies to her list, her back rested against the wall in an exhausted and defeated gesture. She gave the window washer a chance to speak. It was obvious to her with the power that he displayed that he was more than that, but she had no idea if he was friendly or an enemy. Even if he had helped her to save the room, vegeta had also helped her family, yet vowed to kill them when he had the chance.
It was hard to trust anyone. Could you blame her?

Her frantic footsteps told the tail as much as her presence. Now he was without a doubt that she knew something he didn't, and it wasn't good. When she finally recognized that he had been following her and snapped at him again, he shook his head and sighed, "I want to know what's going on and how I can help." He paused for a moment, hoping she might consider giving him some real answers, but her attitude lingered at the front of his mind for a moment or two after he stopped talking, so he decided to add a little more...
"That attack wasn't an accident, was it? You know where it came from...Please don't lie to me. I can feel your fear and worry...It's a little overwhelming to my senses, actually." He tried to make it at least somewhat clear to her that he could tell something was up and, despite her best facade, how she was feeling deep down. "My name is Malachi. I'm a psychic and a martial artist," he paused again, then chuckled and added, "And technically a window washer and someone who is in your debt for saving them."
He extended a hand to her in hopes that she would shake and maybe, just maybe, she'd accept a little friendly help. She probably wouldn't believe his full story, but as long as she at least understood where he was coming from in relation to the current situation that was good enough for him. If she cooperated and he was able to help her, then they could both end up better off. One less threat to deal with later.

The window washer was on her case about her being overly concerned with the situation that had just happened. She took deep breaths in order to contain her anger and stubbornness. Him knowing her soft side was not something she wanted or needed. This random stranger knew nothing about her current situation despite his commentary about being a psychic.
As much as she wanted to tell him to scram, she could not because if she was being attacked by who she suspected, then she could not defend herself. She hated depending on anyone for help. The man continued to offer his services and managed to tell her his name. His name was Malachi.
Malachi stuck out his hand for her to shake. She glanced at it with uncertainty until she thought about her current situation. Being raised up with manners, instead of shaking his hand, she stood up straight and bowed her head with her hands clasped together as ancient, respectful martial artists would do.
"My name is Chichi." Then, she went back to leaning against the wall with a defeated attitude. She covered her eyes with both her hands.
"I thought I defeated him....but he keeps coming back. I am destined to be a target forever...I didn't ask for your help..I don't even think you can help anyway..." She started to tear up behind her hands. It was not the fact that she was afraid to be a target or die, but she did not want her unborn child to be the victim as well.
She did not give Malachi any more clues as to what was happening. All she wanted was to gather her thoughts in order to survive.
Hercule rushed down the hallway to where Malachi and Chichi were. He was about to but in when he saw Chichi against the wall with her face covered.
"Hey you bothering this woman? If you are and don't want to get hurt, I am the champ Hercule so I suggest you back away."
"Go away.." Chichi muttered to Hercule. He could not help at all. Chichi heard Hercule talk and as she did, she started to tear even more. Her embarrassment was covered by her face.

And he immediately felt doubt coming from her even though he couldn't see all of her expression. He didn't blame her. Until he discovered his abilities he had a hard time believing in such things as well. He considered giving a more concrete demonstration. "I'm sorry that we had to meet under these circumstances, Chi Chi. As much as I hate to admit it, if it's something you don't think you could handle yourself then you're probably right about me not having much hope of doing the same. But I won't run away..." That much he was certain of. Whether or not she believed him didn't make a difference. If he thought there was even a small chance he could help or perhaps improve her situation, he would be there. Mitsuki would put him in the dog house forever if he mistreated a pregnant woman.
The man Malachi had previously thought to be a grand hero was really turning out to be a zero. It urked him a little that the man he thought was his idol was actually a brainless, spineless oaf with an over-inflated ego. When Hercule spoke and Chi Chi gave such a gruff response, an idea popped in Malachi's head. Perhaps he could lighten her mood and show her a bit of what he could do. He glanced over at Hercule, "Relax, Champ. I'm not hear to cause trouble." He chuckled again and looked back to Chi Chi. "Watch," he told her.
He looked back to Hercule, a transparent, purple smokey wave emitted from his eyes and seemed to grab a hold of the tail of Hercule's shirt. Even with well trained eyes like hers the mental energy would be difficult to see. With a jerk of his eyes upward, the focused energy pulled Hercule's shirt up over his head in an instant, effectively covering his face and revealing the back of his undershirt as his overshirt was now covering his head from view. There wasn't much Hercule could do about it. To his eyes, the mental forces weren't even visible at all.

Tears were dripping from her hands. Her breathing became heavy almost as if she were hyperventilating. The sadness and fear she felt clouded her judgment. These types of moments often effected her pride. She was not the type of show weakness to anyone. Today she was showing it to everyone. MalachI continued to talk about how he had special abilities. She was uninterested in knowing what he could do because in the end she did not believe she had a chance of survival.
“Hey man! Fight me like a man.” Hercule had no idea what was happening to him. His shirt suddenly covered his face. He started to panic because he thought he was being attacked.
All she heard was Hercule complain again, but she did not look at him just yet. Hercule had frustrated her, but at the moment, she was too occupied with her personal emotions to give him a piece of her mind. When MalachI asked her to watch, she uncovered her eyes to look. He looked like he was doing nothing. She was about to tell him to stop bothering her. What did he want her to see? Her senses could not pick up any of his movements. Her fists rubbed them to keep anymore tears from falling.
Hercule continued to flail around. It was then that Chichi turned her attention to Hercule. He had his shirt over his head. She thought Hercule was being an idiot or attempting to make her laugh. However, she remembered MalachI talk about his powers. The saddened expression on her face turned to one of interest. She was not the type to smile often, but a look of amusement could be noted in her black, orbed eyes.
Those mind tricks MalachI played or whatever he had done was unique. Despite his abilities, she was not convinced that he could handle Torn. Torn was a savage saiyan that used his brute strength to pin down opponents. Normally, Chichi could defend herself quite well, but being in her first trimester of pregnancy, she could not put too much stress on herself.
Also unlike Chichi, was her interest in strangers. Chichi had gone from sad, to confused, to interested in a matter of seconds. It was her personality. She was often unpredictable. Conversely, her lack of desire to know people had to be put aside. Something told her she had to befriend this person for the sake of the baby’s survival.
Hercule, being as dumb as he was, could have easily put the shirt over his head by himself. She gave MalachI the benefit of the doubt.
“How did you do that? I could not sense anything from you. No normal human could do that.” She then folded her arms as she stood up straight again.
“Mind tricks won’t work on the man who attacked me. He is a brute ape called a saiyan. The turned into giant apes with lots of back hair. I don’t know if you know what saiyans are…..but most of them are monsters.” She had just begun to understand what saiyans were and their past. Not many earthlings other then herself and a couple of others knew what they were. She was not expecting MalachI to know what they were.

She was crying fully now, and she wasn't hiding her tears so well anymore. He understood that she was highly upset. He was trying his best to provide her what little comfort he could. His eyes twinkled a little and he smirked when she finally realized what he'd done to cause Hercule to be in such a panic. This was a very miniscule taste of what he could do. And yet even after he'd told her of his abilities she could still manage to ask how he did that? He shook his head and sighed.
"I told you, Chi Chi, I've got mental abilities that most don't. I can affect the mental and physical planes with my power, animate and inanimate objects included." He gave her a short explanation of his power. As for why she couldn't sense anything from him when he used those powers, that was an entirely different issue. "You're accustomed to sensing energy, right? Think of it like this...The spiritual energy used in ki attacks, the energy used by the body for physical movement, and the energy used by the mind to think are all on different wavelengths. You couldn't detect my mental energy because you haven't been trained to detect it. You couldn't sense spiritual energy before you were trained for it, right? It's the same concept."
After his little lesson in psychic powers and energy, she started talking about Saiyans. While Malachi wasn't the most knowledgeable person on Saiyan history and origins, he did know a fair deal about their powers and their attitude. "You're right to be concerned about a Saiyan in his Oozaru form. Even for me that's no laughing matter. If I can beat him before he transforms, though, we'll have nothing to worry about, right? Believe me when I say, tricking a mind and crushing it are two very different things." His tone was much more serious than before as he said that last sentence. He was ready to do whatever it took to put this Saiyan away. If he was attacking an innocent pregnant woman and endangering countless lives, he needed to be put away for good.

Malachi began explaining his power to her. His psychic abilities. The only person she knew who had those type of powers was fortune teller Baba. As he spoke, she listened carefully. What he said made sense, but it was foreign to her. Chcihi was trained in martial arts and now in ki energy. Anything other then that was beyond her comprehension. However, being typical Chichi, she had to poke fun at it.
"So you do know that old hag fortune teller babba? Is that where you learned it?" She smirked to herself. The sadness had momentarily disappeared.
The joking though would not last long. Malachi had become serious by discussing his ways of defeating Torn. He assured her that everything would be alright. Unfortunately, she was not as certain as he was. She had given Torn everything she had and the man would still not die.
"I don't want you getting involved. You don't know what you're getting yourself into." Just as she said that an explosion could be heard from the elevator. People on the lower levels started to scream. These screams were straight out a horror film.
The lights of the hallways started to flicker and shut off. In just moments, all of them would be in complete darkness.
Hercule on the other hand left to go change his shirt. He thought it may have been rigged with some kind of magic or trick. Those damn tricksters...
Chichi jumped up. Her eyes widened with in fear. Rather then stay around to watch Torn come from the elevator, she really wanted to rush down the hallway and find some cover. The darkness was not her main concern. She could sense many things, but the aggression she could sense was troublesome. Torn was not a happy person.

"Fortune Teller Babba? Never heard of her, though she sound sort of interesting." He felt like she was being a little sarcastic and maybe even insulting his skills. Still, he shoved that aside because there was a more pressing matter clearly displayed in front of them. Chi Chi just didn't want to jump on it and address it so openly as Malachi did. While he understood that she may have had good reasons for such, she was putting more people than just herself in danger by not giving him all the information she had. One way or another he was determined to fight this Torn fellow. Oozaru or not, Malachi wasn't the type that could stand by and watch people get killed by a monster, especially not a pregnant woman no matter how strong she might be.
"Listen," he sighed and continued, "even if I wanted to let you go off on your own and try to deal with this problem you seem to have on your own, it's clear from that last attack that this guy doesn't care even a little bit about taking innocent lives. Whether it's to help you or protect them, this is now my fight as well. It's unavoidable." He crossed his arms and looked at her with his serious expression persisting through all of his words. She may not like that he was involved, but there's no way he could back out now. If there was some sort of pride issue she was dealing with, she should just understand that her life wasn't the only one at stake, and someone had to stand up for the others who couldn't do it for themselves. Torn needed to be stopped, of that Malachi was certain.
